Roeland Merks at Leiden University is recruiting a PhD student in Theoretical or Mathematical Biology to model melanoma cell migration in complex extracellular matrices, as part of the EU-funded PhotoMel consortium. The project uses hybrid Cellular Potts and Molecular Dynamics modelling to investigate how UV- and chemical-induced ECM changes affect melanoma progression in young adults.
