The Multiscale Immune System Modeling (MISM) Center is pleased to announce its inaugural annual Pilot Award Request for Proposals, due January 31, 2026, 5:00pm EST.
Through this funding opportunity announcement, we aim to encourage new and unique projects and collaborations bridging across biological scales that 1) address fundamental gaps in our mechanistic understanding of immune-related health and disease and 2) provide in silico laboratories evaluating prophylactic and therapeutic interventions.

A Letter of Intent (LOI) is required to submit a MISM Pilot Grant. LOIs are mandatory and will be used to determine appropriateness for the RFA, provide feedback to submitters, aid the recruitment of appropriately knowledgeable reviewers, and for other review planning. LOIs are due December 15, 2025, 5:00pm EST, and should include the following information:

Name and email of the Principal Investigator(s)

Names of other key personnel and Institution/Department/Division Affiliation

Descriptive title of proposed research

Abstract (less than 350 words) describing hypotheses and aims

LOIs should be emailed to MISM@duke.edu
MISM uses the MyResearchProposal online application software to submit completed applications.
