Dear Colleague

On behalf of my colleague Dr. Reinhard Laubenbacher and I, it is our pleasure to inform you about the workshop “Research in Biomathematics: A Guide to Funding From the U.S. Army Research Office" that will take place during the Society for Mathematical Biology meeting July 13-18 2025 at the University of Alberta Canada. Our hope is that this workshop will further strengthen the resources available to obtain research funding in biomathematics from the U.S. Army Research Office and other DoD funding sources. 

There is partial travel support available for qualified applicants (pending funding from the Army Research Office). Please share the opportunity broadly with anybody who might be interested. More information and a form to apply for financial support (deadline April 14, 2025) for potential funding and mentoring opportunities can be found in the attached flyer describing the event, suitable for posting.
