A fully-funded PhD scholarship is available to cover tuition fees and a tax-free living allowance for 3.5 years for a project, New Mathematical Models of Tissue Mechanics.  This opportunity is open to both domestic and international candidates.

Supervised by Pascal Buenzli and Mat Simpson, you will study within the School of Mathematical Sciences at Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Brisbane, Australia.

The succesful candidate will satisfy QUTs entry requirements, and hold a first class Honours degree (or equivalent, such as a Master's degree) in applied mathematics, physics, engineering or closely related discipline.  Strong academic performance, excellent written communication skills, and expertise in computational techniques (e.g. Julia, Python, C++, FORTRAN) is essental.
