Postdoctoral opportunities at Colorado in Applied Math

    Applications are invited for up to three postdoctoral positions in the research group of Prof. David Bortz in the Department of Applied Mathematics at the University of Colorado-Boulder.

    The successful applicants will pursue and participate in scientific machine learning research leading to publications in top journals. They will also be expected to contribute to the mentoring of graduate students working on related projects. There will also be opportunities for teaching applied math courses. Priority will be given to applicants with research skills in one or more of the following areas: data-driven modeling, equation learning, weak form-based methods, reduced order modeling, closure modeling, model selection, multi-scale modeling, and sparse regression. Potential application areas include cyanobacteria photosynthesis, mathematical epidemiology, collective cell migration, wound healing, aging, and mitochondrial dynamics as well as other non-biological fields.
