We are excited to announce the inaugural Queer in Computational and Applied Mathematics Workshop to be held at ICERM 24-28 June, 2024. This meeting will celebrate the work of LGBTQIA2S+ mathematicians working in computational and applied mathematics, provide unique networking opportunities, and facilitate collaborations among researchers within the queer community.
Plenary Speakers for the workshop include Tim Atherton (Tufts University), Clint Dawson (University of Texas), Pamela E. Harris (Williams College), Stacey Smith? (University of Ottawa), Kristin Swanson (Mayo Clinic), Chad Topaz (Institute for the Quantitative Study of Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity), and Andre Wibisono (Yale University).
In addition to plenary talks, we will solicit abstracts from invited participants for contributed talks. We will also be organizing working groups on important topics in computational and applied mathematics.
Applications to attend are now open! To apply or for more information, please visit the official QCAM website: https://icerm.brown.edu/topical_workshops/tw-24-qcam/. Support is available for travel and accommodations via ICERM.
