The Department of Mathematics at the University of Florida is pleased to invite applications for one full-time, nine-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor faculty position open to all areas in Mathematics to begin August 16, 2024. The successful candidate will join a vibrant department of approximately 60 faculty and 85 graduate students pursuing research in a broad array of pure and applied areas.

Candidates should already have a strong established research program that complements ongoing research in the Department of Mathematics, a compelling plan for future research, and the ability to supervise both graduate and undergraduate research projects. Successful candidates are expected to teach effectively at both the graduate and undergraduate levels, initiate and carry out independent research, and provide service to the department, the university, and the profession. A Ph.D. degree in Mathematics or a closely related field is required. The salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, and includes a full benefits package.

The Search Committee will begin reviewing applications on November 1, 2023, and continue accepting applications until the position is filled.

See more information and application instructions at: https://www.mathjobs.org/jobs/list/23273

Questions may be addressed to the Search Committee Chair, Professor Sergei Pilyugin (pilyugin@ufl.edu).
